GARAGE GIVEAWAY

Vacation Bible School decorations are one of my favorite things, so I am opening up my VBS vault on Saturday, May 2 from 10:00 am until 2:00 pm for a Garage Giveaway. The Garage Giveaway is a perfect time for VBS decorators and teachers to come and look through all my cool stuff.

I'll be on hand as well to discuss decorating plans for this year's VBS.

P.S. If you would like to donate items/materials (I.E. toilet paper tubes, egg cartons, empty milk jugs, etc.) to the giveaway, please bring them to the building no later than Wednesday, April 29. (Please note: Donated items will not be returned)

WE NEED YOUR HELP!!

Vacation Bible School depends on the wonderful Christians

who sacrifice their time to make it the best it can be.

This year we have set a goal to have at least 80% of the Parker church family involved in VBS.

That means that we can't reach our goal without YOU.

We need teachers, assistants, builders, decorators and so many other tasks.

Some can be done at home and lots of the tasks need to be done before VBS.

There is something for everyone to do

Every night during VBS we will use the Bible Time Machine to bring back one of the familiar characters from a previous year's Vacation Bible School at Parker Church of Christ.

SPECIAL ADULT and TEEN VBS PROGRAM ANNOUNCED

The Professor has been traveling through time to investigate God's presence. During VBS he plans on taking adults and teens on a special trip to the lands of the Bible.

Drive Thru History is a joy ride through the fast lane of times-gone-by led by the irreverent but always relevant Dave Stotts.

Dave doesn’t just talk about history; he lives it in fast, easy-to-digest road trips. Like the trip to the Coliseum in Rome where Dave acci-dentally picks a fight with one of those cheesy "Roman Guards" who’ll pose for a picture for a couple of Euros. Suddenly, Dave is Maximus in a fight to the death (in his mind, that is).

Drive Thru History is a series that makes exploring the history of Western Civilization meaningful and totally entertaining at the same time. Dave will be sure to open ‘er up in Europe with an eventual side trip to America. With Dave Stotts as your guide, you’ll definitely enjoy the ride. You might even learn a thing or two about history and how we’re all connected to these places and events. This is over 2500 years of history…so we had better make it fast. And who wants to be lectured to…so we’d better make it fun. And what about all the strange and interesting things that crop up along the way?

IT'S ABOUT TIME!

I have spent the past few years designing and

testing my Bible Time Machine and IT WORKS!!!

I will be unveiling it on Monday, June 8 at 7:00 pm at the

Parker Church of Christ Vacation Bible School.

I promise to take everyone on a journey back into Bible history

to discover the ever presence of God. I hope you will be there.

VBS is a chance to change a life. It an opportunity to plant a seed in a young heart that someday will flourish into a mature life lived for Christ. But it doesn't just change their spiritual life, it changes their whole life. A life lived for Christ is a better life.

Everyone asks me, "What it is so exciting about Vacation Bible School?" "Is it the decorations?" "Is it the songs?" "Is it the puppets?" NOPE! The most exciting thing about VBS is the kids! I love seeing the faces of children as they learn about God, the Bible and Jesus. I love how they can't wait to come back to hear more. That's what makes VBS so special - KIDS!.
